Simple Laundry Room Art
I decided it was time to start making the laundry room (which is in the basement) not so dismal and drab to be in. A fresh coat of paint on the walls was a start. But what it really needed was some art. I don't even want to show you what my laundry room looks like at the moment lol. Eventually.... maybe!
I thought about my recent tutorial on how to print on fabric using an inkjet printer and freezer paper... keeping this in mind, I headed to the thrift store!
I found a few wooden embroidery hoops and a crisp white cotton pillowcase for under $2.00. Once I got back home, I found various graphics from the www, printed them on the cotton pillowcase, cut out the graphics and assembled them into the embroidery hoops. Simple, easy and really inexpensive!
I'm going to keep my eyes open for more embroidery hoops so I can add a couple more to my wall :)

ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love these!!
ReplyDeleteI really like these! Do you think I could do it with a laser printer?
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried with a laser printer myself, but I googled it and most of what I saw said you can using the method I have shared (with the freezer paper). Let me know if you try it, I'd love to update my post with the details if it works out!
DeleteWow the idea of printing the graphics on cotton pillowcase is really admirable and it saves much money also...well I just don't want to disclose the environs of my laundry room too...lol!!
